| Highly Recomended |  | | I recently got married this mont, in the time leading up to my wedding, Fondantly Yours was Recomended to me by a friend, i was able to give them a budget to work with and all my ideas for what I wanted, they gave me everything and MORE! Everything was tailored just to my liking , I ended up with 2 amazing cakes, that truly tasted as good as they looked (which is very hard to match believe me)... I would deffinatly recommend Fondantly Yours for any celebrations if you are looking for a beautifully unique creation ! | | Dien Bates - 26/06/2012 |  | | Above and Beyond! | | My Husband and I popped into Fondantly Yours one day when we'd been out for a walk, we'd not long been engaged. I'd seen the beautiful cakes on display in the window on my way home from work most days and wanted my other half to come with me and see them. At this point we were just trying to get ideas for our wedding, we hadnt actually booked a venue.
We went in and were made to feel comfortable immediately. We started chatting away and it was very relaxed, they explained what they do, we explained what we liked the look of but also made it clear that we didnt have a venue. They suggested a few as they had contacts in the industry and later on that day we viewed what was to be our venue. I cant thank Sue and Jim enough for helping out.
Anyway, we booked them to make our cake and had several meetings to go over ideas and look through the numerous magazines until it was clear what we wanted. Once the design was set, we organised a tasting of the flavours we could choose from. A few days later I picked up a box of 6 beautiful cupcakes, one in each of the flavours we had shortlisted (there were so many!) and took them home to try with my other half. They were fantastic, so soft and moreish! I knew right then that I had chosen the right people to make our cake. We chose different flavours for all three tiers.
Delivery on the day was seamless and the cake was set up beautifully. Contact was easy throughout the whole time planning the wedding and what we wanted was reflected in the cake. It was perfect, matched our scheme and was more than I could ever have imagined - at a very reasonable price. I cannot fault what these lovely people did for us and everyone who had the cake at the wedding commented on it's quality. | | Paula George - 20/06/2012 | | | Bad service |  | We saw these people at a few wedding fairs and i fell in love with thier cakes. We made an appointment to visit them at the shop the following week.
Upon arriving at the shop they had forgotton our names and the date of our wedding even though they had written these down the week before.
We went through what sort of cake we wanted and were given a price. We commented that it was a good price and she asked if we thought that was cheap. We replied yes and were very impressed. Low and behold 2 mins later she said she had worked the price out wrong and it would in fact be £40 extra than what she had quoted.
I felt that she saw an opportunity to make some more money and thought she would pretend she had forgotton to add something. We completely say through this dishonesty and couldnt wait to get out of the shop. Needless to say we didnt order our cake as we found this service dishonest and we didnt want to work with people like this.
