Production great Music dreadful | | So we had heard that Kudos were the be all for Asian weddings and wanted to go with the best. We'd enjoyed the music at a friends wedding they did as well.
When trying to negotiate with them or discuss details it was almost a nightmare to get anyone consistently on the phone. Regular calls emails messages all ignored. Eventually we realised we had a close contact who knew them well so we tried this approach. They suddenly changed dramatically, really helpful and were prepared to meet all our requests. We ordered a big production package and have to say this was delivered well and was very impressive on the night. Some great pictures
The DJ experience was a not very good however, they called up two days before the wedding to say the DJ we had requested was in Spain for the weekend doing another event. The person calling offered his own services and since all our communication had been via him till this point we thought that would be fine as he knew our music preferences. On the night he played bhangra and bollywood for about 80% of the night despite us making it clear this wasn't what we were looking for nor our guests. Any of my english friends got bored and left the dance floor after an hour. Close family only stayed and although we had a full night we missed all the good tracks we had been looking for and had taken the time to make an extensive list and emailed them weeks before. We kept asking through the night to switch to english music and he just played the same justin bieber song each time then went back to bollywood. he clearly had no english music with him at all.
I think bottom line is for bollywood music only or bhangra music only they're probably ok although very expensive. If you want rnb and kisstory style music or throwback style rnb and hip hop this is clearly outside their comfort zone and I would avoid. | Anonymous - 28/09/2017 | | Rude and arrogant DJs | | Won't be naming the exact person, however the guys were rude to guests and unprofessional at one of London events last summer. We really think they are overrated and there are plenty of decent bands/DJs in the UK.
Kudos management, you gotta sort these things out. | Darren - 20/04/2017 | | Give your money to a company who thrives off outstanding customer service. Not Kudos!! | | Before booking this company for your event, please remember that all the DJ's here (including the managers and directors) are very good friends with each other. Therefore, should you have a complaint to make, you have to ring up constantly, as no-one will get back to you! Funny how as soon as I posted a letter, threatening to take court action, I was contacted. Spend your money elsewhere. Go to a company who have a heart and take pride in delivering a quality service which meets your requirements, who also take complaints very seriously. Don't approach Kudos! The managers are too busy brushing complaints under the carpet and trying their utmost to avoid any confrontation with workers, in fear that it may jeopardise their friendships.
I strongly advise the company owner (who I left several messages for) to urgently attend some basic management training. It will cover topics, such as:
Ethical skills - principles of morality, i.e. how you would want to be treated. Dealing with problems that arise. Confronting poor performance. Controlling and directing staff. Maintaining professional boundaries - i.e. making friends with employees.
| Anonymous - 22/11/2016 | | very unprofessional DJ service | | Unfortunately went with Kudos for my event and their incompetence astounded me throughout the whole event. DJ's were like an amateur set up, not knowing what songs to play when- would have been better if I plugged my phone into their speakers. The dhol player did not turn up at the entrance on time- when he did turn up, they were just waiting around playing with their sticks. The music they were playing was very obscure, very old style music and was on quite low during the evening. The DJ’s were not very good at all and felt like we had to babysit them. Also, I booked a confetti drop that didn't happen on the day either. Overall, found them very unprofessional and didn’t live up to the quality they claim. | farrah - 12/12/2014 |
