| Making the daunting UNdaunting |  | | Finding my dress was the most daunting parts of planning our day. I was confident with all the other plans and knew roughly what I wanted but I didn’t have a clue what would suit me or even where to start. Twirl was the first boutique I visited on the offchance as I was down from London. Very quickly Tracy made me feel utterly at ease and confidently advised me. Most importantly she asked the right questions to fully understand me and the type of wedding we were having. Tracy listened and didn’t try and convince me otherwise when I felt uncomfortable; a rare quality I soon discovered! After floundering in boutiques all over London with assistants who barely listened I quickly came back to Twirl. I found many other shops incredibly daunting and unwelcoming, filled to the brim with dresses on hangers that I couldn’t envisage on and no one to really help. Many didn’t even ask about any other details of the day – instead convincing me to try on a sparkly strapless number completely inappropriate for our country marquee setting. In fact, out of the two dresses I narrowed down, both were from Twirl and both were the best value which was an added bonus. I felt confident of my choice because Tracy had invested time to work out what worked best for me and my shape. It turns out slinky dresses don’t come with built in jutting hip bones – you need to provide them yourself – and Tracy perfectly picked out a style that was comfortable, flattering and showstopping. The whole process was far more enjoyable than I possibly imagined and I loved every minute of wearing my dress on the day.
