| Amazing service from start to finish! |  | | About a Bride is a bridal shop specializing in plus size brides, they have an amazing selection of dresses for all shapes & sizes & all budgets! The staff are great, giving honest & friendly advice where needed. They aren't pushy, & won't try and sell you something which doesn't suit or is out of your range. You usually have the shop to yourself, & privacy in the changing rooms too (which we like!) you can also have dresses altered to suit you, my dress had black embroidery in the shop, which I had ordered in purple! There is parking near by too! The perfect shop for all plus sizes | | Claire Christiansen - 15/06/2012 |  | | A very large bride! | | I had given up looking for a wedding dress before my mum found aboutabride.I had several bad experiences in other shops, one even said I was too large for them as soon as I entered.
I travelled nearly 3 hours to aboutabride, and nearly left when a thin blonde woman opened the door! But this turned out to be Barbara and what a clever understanding woman she is.
We spent several hours trying and retrying dresses. I burst into tears after the first dress was zipped up. I never thought I would ever fit into a dress in a shop, I know shops say they do bigger sizes but it's not the same.
I was told to try with vails, sit down, walk around, bend over! Nothing was too much trouble.
My Mum sat drinking coffee and eating chocolates! We all cried including Barbra when I got so overcome and just knew I had found my dress.
It really has been the most wonderful part of my planning, and just looking at all the photographs and Thank you cards on the wall I knew I had gone to the best pace in the whole world!

The staff were friendly and helped make the experience enjoyable. They took lots of time and never rushed me helping me make sure I got the right one.
They had a huge selection at different prices so bound to find one that you like that flatters your good bits.
I can't wait to wear mine!!
