| Brilliant shop! |  | This is a recent review, I got married on the 4th June 2012.
Please please please go to this shop, they are BRILLIANT!! Sarah and the team are so friendly and helpful, and I wore the
most beautiful wedding dress (by Sophia Tolli, with the lace back).
From the first appintment, the staff made me fell so relaxed. Sarah was 100% honest and truthful with what suited me and wasn't there to make money out of me at all. I think it was the little touches that counted to me - she spent all her time with me, and was very patient. She posted a good luck message for me and my husband-to-be on the day of our wedding on her Facebook page which I thought was really sweet.
The dresses range in many different styles and prices, and the shop is well equipped if you need to borrow shoes or tiaras etc.
One other great thing, was that my mum needed her dress taken in, and Maria the seamstress there that does alterations (such a friendly, lovely lady who is brilliant with a needle and thread!!) altered my mum's dress as the same time as
Mine for a very small cost, which we really appreciated.
The staff, quality of dresses, alterations, and overall experience is one that I genuinely recommend. They are a lovely shop, who only want you to be happy and comfortable with what you choose. Such a friendly and relaxed service throughout the whole experience, and I am so so happy I went there. I went in with a few pictures of dresses I liked but was told that I could only order these and pay for them, there was not anything in my size in the shop (only 8-12) like this style that I could try on. The assistant did try to help but I felt stock was slightly limited for me. The sales assistant brought out this dress which she said would be the ideal style for me, but I couldn't help but think she only had this style in my size so encouraged me to go for this one. The dress was nice and I liked it but it wasn't the style I was comfortable with as it was strapless. I went with this one as it looked nice on it fitted well and she said the top of the dress would not be an issue because I am bigger busted as it was boned. The dress was ordered in a size up as the assistant said it's better to take the dress in if I lose weight, and the dress I was trying on was slightly too small, I went with her expert suggestion. I did lose weight and the dress had to be taken in 2 sizes.....the dress on my wedding day I felt did not fit correctly :( the top kept falling down and it just did not sit right, I was adjusting it all day! so overall the shop was very helpful, although I felt stock was limited for my choice and size but the thing I was most unhappy with was the alterations....the dress really did not seem to fit me correctly I think the size ordered was far too big and then they could not alter the dress to fit me correctly or maybe just that the dress was badly altered....not sure! | | Kate Bradley - 29/07/2010 |
