Horrendous and upsetting experience
Absolutely outrageous treatment at Airs and Graces, Berko. A rude and pompous shop assistant made us feel extremely unwelcome. Was not even offered a glass of water yet they offered each other tea and coffee in front of us! Practically shoved into the changing room (in the middle of the shop) and used as a human manikin - was not even allowed to look at the dresses myself at any point bar the 'sale rail'. Made to feel extremely self conscious as I was ordered around to try a number of different dresses - none of which were what I wanted for MY big day. I even heard the shop assistant and owner refer to my womanly curves (only a size 12!) which I usually embrace as 'a fairly big girl' - not something a future bride wants to hear when trying dresses for the most important day of her life. Overall, a terrible experience resulting in me in tears in the car home. You are not fashion stylists, you are helping a woman feel special. A horrible atmosphere and absolutely disgusting attitude from the assistant. |

The best bridal shop in Berkhamsted
Airs and Graces are located on the high street in Berkhamsted and when I was looking for a dress I knew that this was the first port of call. They always have great window displays and everyone who I have spoken to who have been there had mentioned how great it was. Gisele, Lyn and Iain were all extreemly helpful letting me try almost every dress on and giving me extreemly helpful comments and advice,(there is nothing worse than a shop assistant just saying that everything looks nice.) They have a great range of styles of dresses at really reasonable prices so everyone is catered for. The shop itself is lovely and relaxed and everyone is made to feel welcome and not rushed in anyway. I would higly recommend Airs and Graces as a must when searching for your perfect dress!! |
