| Wedding dress |  | | I have just got married and bought my dress from Taffata and Lace. I would highly recommend the shop for anyone looking to buy a dress from. The service was excellent, Jill is very skilled at what she does, she altered the dress to fit me perfectly and what a beautiful dress it was. The Staff were friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The dresses were beautiful and I just could not believe the prices in comparison to other shops I had visited!

| | Beth - 05/05/2015 | | | Nearly made me call the wedding off!!! |  | I went to taffeta and lace on the off chance after drving past the shop so many times, they always have nice looking dresses in the window, so i thought id give them ago.
Went in at about 12 noon with my Fiance, the shop was empty and the lady in the shop was rude and nasty, i asked her if she had any dresses that were not white, as i want a black/red dress she said in a very rude way..."yes i have cream and ivory" to me thats a shade of white,
I have facial piercings and visable tattoos and felt she looked down on me for these my fiance has long hair and piercings and walks with a sick, so we felt she judged us as soon as she saw us, we are young looking my fiance is 25 but looks younger and im 28.
i asked about if she could make me a dress in my chosen colour and she said "yes i can but it woul prob cost more than your budget so wouldnt be worth while" i was fuming how dare she asume my budget is low, we dont even have a budget so i could have spent as much as i wanted on a dress.
she then went on to say that i could get a bridesmaid dress in black or red, and was generaly rude and horrid,
im a bride not a bridesmaid.
we left the shop and i was in tears saying the wedding is off, i dont want to be treated like something she had stood on!
she ruined my 1st try at looking for a dress and due to her im NEVER going to another bride shop to look at dresses
