| I got married on the 20th June 2014 and before this I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Julie and Lucy! From the first time I walked in to the shop I felt at ease and excited about trying on dresses (4th shop visited and did not feel like this in any others!) I found my dress that day but Julie advices me to still go elsewhere and try some others to make sure it was the one. This showed me they genuinely have a passion for helping brides to be and want to get it right which I think is very rare in the industry now! From start to finish Julie and Lucy were such a huge help,even listening to other parts of the wedding I was planning and helping! They really are the most amazing team and I felt like an absolute princess on our wedding day and everyone said what a beautiful dress I had! :) To any brides to be still looking for your dress do go and visit Brides of Berkhamsted as I'm sure once you do your search will be over!! | The BEST Bridal shop ever!!!! | |
I got married on 16th April and was so fortunate to have been able to wear my perfect gown!
I had been planning my wedding for two and half years and after trying on LOTS of dresses in shops local to me (Milton Keynes) I still hadn't found 'the one'. I searched further away and found Brides of Berkhamstead- not only did I find my dress in there, the shop is beautiful and Julie and Lucy were beyond helpful. Every time I went in they were both so lovely and made each visit so relaxing and we're always happy to help and put my mind at ease.
I also brought all four of my Bridesmaids dresses from here and they too were beautiful and all my girls loved wearing them!
I had the most perfect wedding day but I wish I could do the whole planning again just to be able to keep standing on the stage in this shop and feel like a Princess.
Thank you for all you did for me Lucy and Julie- I am beyond grateful and would recommend any 'Bride to be' go's to this shop! |

| Wonderful Bridal Shop | |
I had lots of such lovely comments about my dress, it was perfect for the day.
It really was wonderful buying my dress from Brides of Berkhamstead Lucy and Julie made the time I spent in their shop so enjoyable and gave such valuable and honest advice. The personal service I received from them both throughout made me feel special from the very first moment I walked into the shop. They made me feel at ease and listened to what I wanted, making sure I had the best experience, going above and beyond my expectations.
I would highly recommend Brides of Berkhamstead to any Bride, I really can't thank them enough.

| Amazing Service! | |
I bought my wedding dress from Brides of Berkhamsted for my Wedding in August and they were amazing!
From the fist visit when I went to look at dresses, through to the day when I finally picked it up, they were so helpful and polite.
I visited at least 5 other shops and none of them compared. They are so relaxed and really make you feel at ease when trying on dresses.
I was so thrilled when I realised that my perfect dress was the first one that I had tried on in their shop.
Throughout every visit, and I had a few, they were always happy, helpful, and went the extra mile! I can't thank them enough for all of their help, including several visits to try and get the right height of shoe to go with my dress.
Thank you so much for all of your help in getting me the perfect dress :-)

| Perfect in every way | |
A little daunted by the prospect of buying my wedding dress, I booked about 8 appointments at different bridal shops over one weekend and Brides of Berkhamsted was definitely the best, by a long way! Not only is the shop stunning with a fabulous selection of dresses but, more importantly, Lucy & Julie (a fantastic mother and daughter team) could not have been more helpful and friendly. Their kindness and enthusiasm made buying my wedding dress a magical experience - exactly how I had hoped and imagined it would be! Lucy & Julie, and the surroundings, made you feel instantly special and this continued at every other appointment and even after I had collected the dress.
I chose a beautiful Stewart Parvin dress but due to my size I had to have the dress ‘made to measure’. This was all handled brilliantly by Julie, who took perfect measurements first time which meant, other than the length (as standard), I didn’t have to have any further alterations! I was regularly informed of its progress and was delighted that they were as thrilled as I was when ‘she’ arrived at their shop.
I would definitely recommend BoB to everyone! A huge thank you to Lucy & Julie for being so fabulous.

| Beautiful bridal shop with fantastic customer care | |
Whilst flicking through a wedding magazine, I came across the picture of my dream dress. It was designed by Alan Hannah and was called 'Lucy' from the Mia Mia range. I found the nearest stockist which happened to be Brides Of Berkhamsted. This was a fair distance from me, but I really wanted to see the dress, so I rang the shop to book an appointment. My first point of contact was with Lucy, over the phone, who was really friendly and enthusiastic, which instantly made me feel at ease. I was worried that I would find Bridal shops quite snooty or intimidating, but this couldn't have been further from the truth with B.O.B. I was nearly 5 months pregnant with my second child, so was naturally not feeling my most confident, but Lucy encouraged me to go in and see the dress.
My mum and I arrived at the shop that week and were pleasantly suprised with the beautiful interior of the shop which came hand in hand a very warm welcome from both Lucy and Julie.
The first dress I tried on, was the one I was already in love with and trying it on only confirmed my decision, however Lucy suggested I try on a few more styles of dresses just to be sure and also because I would only be living this dream once! So I did and although the experience was truly magical, there was only one dress for me and Lucy and Julie completley agreed that it was 'THE' dress. They were very complimentary, which was lovely. This was the dress I bought.
From the first point of contact , right up to when I collected my gown, they both made me feel very special and made the whole experience of buying a wedding dress as it should be! Their level of communication and enthusiasm was outstanding. In the short time that I dealt with Brides of Berkhamsted I used to really enjoy my visits there as they always seemed pleased to see me and we always had a giggle.
Lovely mother and daughter team! I never went to another Bridal wear shop as I didn't feel the need to! Thanks again ladies..I LOVED my dress and didn't want to take it off!!!

| I went to Brides of Berkhamsted for their sample sale shortly after having a baby last year. Not feeling very positive about my body at that point, Julie and Lucy made me feel very special whilst being utterly professional and efficient. I actually ended up with the first dress I tried on. A beautiful half price Lee-Ann Belter gown. I had initially gone in alone as my family live a long distance away and the girls allowed me to come in again as often as I wanted to show my Mum the dress, try it on with shoes etc. They are very understanding and give that personal touch with small details like remembering your name when you walk through the door, they are very passionate and enthusiastic about their gowns and knowledgeable about the designers and what shape of dress suits different people. The shop itself is beautifully presented with a stunning range of high quality and elegant gowns. If you want a designer dress on a budget DEFINITELY check out their sample sale. They aren't all size 8's, they come in all sizes! And despite being a sample my dress was in pristine condition after their TLC (missing stones and buttons replaced, steamed just before they day etc)Lucy and Julie make you feel so special and have a lot of time for each person. They answer messages very promptly and I would recommend them to anyone! |

| Bridal Gowns | |
I had only 4 months to plan my wedding and consequently needed everything to simply fall into place. I was fortunate to have a sister who lived in Berkhamstead and she made an appointmengt for me at Brides of Berkhamstead. Julie and Lucy were wondeful - I hadn't a clue what type of dress I wanted and they were happy to let me look through all their dresses and I was able to try on as many as I wished. I found the perfect dress and was happy to pay the deposit there and then. However, Julie encouraged me to look elsewhere before I made my final decision. I went to one further shop but nothing compared and I returned to Brides of Berkhamstead to order my dress. I would recommend the shop to anyone looking for a bridal gown - the dresses are beautiful and the service very good.

| Fanastic Experience | |
I booked my first, and as it became, only appointment with Brides of Berkhamsted having given ourselves 8 months to plan a wedding! They advised me the date I was looking to book was their sample sale and they wanted to check if I was happy to book that day and I could book another appointment if I did not find one. They were immediately helpful.
Upon attending the store it was beautifully decorated, somehow it immediately makes you feel special.With their fabulous collection of dresses I found THE dress in the sale and placed my deposit and left extremely happy as I really had been made to feel the part.
Then the moment of doubt struck!! Having purchased my dress so quickly had I made the right choice! From the moment I contacted the store I received the best service possible, they were genuinely concerned to hear that I was having doubts and ensured that I could have an appointment asap. They were then genuinely pleased to hear crisis was averted, I was in love all over again.
Having purchased a discounted dress you can tend to worry about the level of service you may receive, not in this store. To Lucy and Julie this is their passion and it shows through the service they provide, it sticks in my memory that they refer to the dresses as she and remember all their names.
With a hug from an excited Lucy on collection of my dress and a genuine wish for all the best I left the store with the best impression.

| I work in the wedding industry myself and meet slot of people in the industry. So planning my own wedding was going to be a challenge! I went to brides of Berkhamsted ( my second dress shop) and was completely blown away by the dresses and the friendliness I received from the ladies at brides of Berkhamsted. They showed my a variety of stunning gowns which had the chance would have more than one! They helped my to find my 'dream dress' which was so different to anything I had seen" the trials and fittings were exciting and really felt like a princess! On the day everyone wanted to know where I had got my gown, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for the most special dress of your dreams!! To feel amazing and the pictures look even more beautiful!! |

| beautiful Sottero gown | |
| I was first introduced to the ladies at the wedding show at Boxmoor Lodge and was very impressed then and they even had a wedding show which shows the professionalism these ladies have. I went with my friend on the day before my engagement party to have a "browse" and ended up ordering my beautiful Sottero gown. The ladies were lovely and left me to my own devices and were certainly not in the least pushy. When I chose three gowns to try they couldn't have been more helpful and even made the few hours we were in there very special with playing my favourite music (Barbara Streisand) and giving us complimentary flutes of champagne while we chose the gowns which to me is a really lovely touch. I thought the shop was very well designed with plenty of choice of designer wedding gowns as well as tiaras and veils. To me they are a wining combination. I wish them all the success that they deserve. I am getting married on 26 June and Julie has even offered to come and dress me on my special day - you don't get that from Pronuptia!!! |

| Fantastic shop and people | |
I visited Brides of Berkhamsted with my close friend to try some gowns in October 2009.
Lucy and Julie could not have made the experience more of a pleasure - the gowns on offer are from the best designers, with one notable designer who is by appointment to H.M. The Queen.
The range varies in price from very affordable to "splurge". All have class and perfect design and are of the utmost quality: you call tell a lot of thought has gone into their collection.
Trying on the dresses was not rushed one bit (and my friend tried on a good few) and the whole experience was both relaxed and very friendly with complimentary champagne and a wealth of warmth and laughter. Lucy and Julie truly made the experience very special.
I would strongly recommend buying your bridal gown from this store and wish these guys the best of luck. Thank you for making our day so special.

| Fantastic service! | |
| I am a beaming bride....and not just because I am marrying the man of my dreams next April, it's because I have found 'The Dress'! After many hours visiting many shops looking for the right dress, Brides of Berkhamsted's very own fairy godmother (Lucy) came to the rescue. It was a Mikaella 1406 dress that I was searching the country for- to no avail. Lucy contacted me letting me know they had the dress in stock, and she did this before the new shop had even had it's opening launch! I arrived at the shop to see ‘my’ dress looking beautiful on the rails and a fraction of the price I had budgeted for! The actual shop itself is beautifully decorated with a big dressing room area and lots of space to walk around in. The whole experience was very relaxed and I felt at ease throughout. Brides of Berkhamsted is 2 hours away from where I live in Sussex, and if it were to be even further I would still travel to see Lucy and Julie because the service I received and am still receiving is outstanding. Lucy and I are in regular contact regarding the dress ordering etc and thankfully what was becoming a major stress for me now feels so easy. I highly recommend you take a visit! |

| I have recently purchased my bridal gown from Berkhamstead Brides. I attended the Birmingham Wedding Exhibition and found that experience extreemly stressful and was not looking forward to shopping for my dress. Brides of Berkamstead was the first boutique I visited and immediately felt very welcomed by the owners, Lucy & Julie. I was allowed to browse through their collection without feeling pressured. I instantly fell in love with the Lyn Ashworth dress which was the first one I tried on (cliche I know!) As I had made other appointments with other shops I felt obliged to see what others had to offer. I was very dissapointed with the service and limited choice of collections at the other shops. With my dress in mind I went back to Brides of Berkamstead and although another bride was just finishing her appointment, both Lucy and Julie took the time to show me the dress again and even allowed me to try it on - again!. I placed a deposit that afternoon. I would most certainly recommend this bridal boutique to those looking for their wedding dress and I am very much looking forward to my first fitting. |
