| Awful customer service - treated like scum |   |
I booked an appointment back in February this year with Katerine Allen with my mum, bridesmaid & mother-in-law to be. We turned up on time to be looked up and down 10 times over by the shop assistant (although have recently been told she's the owners daughter). The first question that was asked was "what dress do you want", I replied with "I'm not sure, I have never tried a wedding dress on before, but I'm open to suggestions"... The response I got was "I already know what you will pick". At first I thought great, some suggestions will be welcomed, but when I said, "Ok, can you show me" she said "no I'm going to wait till you pick out yourself". I found this attitude a little strange, but decided to start looking at the dresses, to then be ushered away from most of them I had picked out, I was told "this won't fit you or this won't suit you"!
Eventually after the assistant picked out a few dresses that I didn't like, we headed to the dressing room, to then be told "God! You've got some sturdy underwear on".... Well what an insult and a kick in the teeth, as you can imagine this made me feel excellent on what's supposed to be a really special day! My mum, mother in law and bridesmaid were all told to sit down and not look at the dresses whilst I was in the changing room, they were offered water and nothing else. The dresses I tried on were awful and the only thing the assistant kept saying was you should have come on your own to pick your dress not with all these people!!
Whilst I was in the room looking at one of the dresses I had on, two strangers came in to look at te dresses without booking an appointment, Katerine Allen pride themselves on the dressing room so don't let the so called privacy fool you!
The experience was absolutely terrible, I would advise anyone that wants a nice experience, helpful customer service and privacy to AVOID Katerine Allen at all costs! |

| I had a fantastic time trying on dresses often a bad experience at wedding belles. To be honest I was expecting all bridal shops to be the same but at Katherine Allen your are made to feel like the princess you will be on your wedding day everything goes at your pace the service is spectacular and friendly I could try on as many dresses as I liked. There was no rush at all and the assistant (Lucy) was brilliant! I found the perfect dress Lucy asked me about my colour scheme and then (although the dress was just what I wanted) she completed my dress with a lovely sash and broach combination and finished my look with a veil. I will never forget this day!! |

| Not great for curvy ladies | |
| I'm a size 16/18 with large bust so wanted a dress with straps. I called Katherine Allen as they had a Maggie Sottero dress I liked. They only had a size 16, when I asked if it would still give me an idea re fit even if too small the girl told me it might not go over my hips so I shouldn't try it. My hips ate actually quite small!! I felt insulted and saddened and thought I would never find a dress. KA could have suggested other styles but didn't, I felt they didn't want my custom ad I''m not a small size. |

| I tried on 6 dresses here on a Saturday afternoon and it was brilliant. Had a great time and the staff were extremely helpful and not pushy at all but completely listened to what I wanted |

This is a beautiful bridal shop in which you are treated like a princess!
They have a gorgeous range of gowns and ensure that you have loads of time to try on as many as you wish until you find the right one for you. The prices too are really reasonable. |
