| Terrible wedding service |   | | I had my wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza Marlow on 26th May 2013 and I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone. At the start of the process, the lady in charge of events suggested dry-hire, which is an option we had not considered previously. She made it sound very straightforward and it was certainly cheaper, so we proceeded with the booking. Soon after this, we were advised that this member of staff would not be liaising with us anymore and from that point on we had to deal with a string of unhelpful and disorganised members of staff. We never had one stable point of contact throughout the whole process. Unfortunately things did not improve and in fact went from bad to worse. On the day of the wedding, the water feature was not working in the lake. Our caterers reported that the kitchens, reception room and toilets were filthy on their arrival from the previous wedding. They were in fact so bad, that the caterer had to draft in extra staff to clean, an extra expense that we had to pay for. One of the ovens and some of the fridges were not working. In addition, the toilets were not cleaned throughout the day and members of the bridal party had to continually ask at reception for toilet roll, hand towels etc to be replenished. This service was promised to us faithfully. Many of our guests have told us that when they tried to check in on their arrival, they were advised that they would not be able to as the rooms were not yet turned around from the previous wedding the day before.
