| Excellent Reception Venue for up to 100 |  | We had our wedding reception here in June 2008 and would thoroughly recommend the Green Dragon Inn to any other bride to be. It is close to Cheltenham, but a bit into the country for the Cotswold feeling. The venue has a separate converted barn as the main reception room and a private bar with outside terrace, all of which are available for the exclusive use of the wedding party. For guests staying over, there are also 9 guest rooms at the venue as well as other accommodation close by in Cheltenham.
The venue seats 65 for a sit down meal but accommodates more for the evening. The food is excellent, using local seasonal produce - we had the tastiest salmon I've ever had and the largest and best raspberry pavlovas I've ever seen.
The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The waitresses were wonderful - discreet, charming and uniformly polite and Nicky, the manager was brilliant both with questions before and slight changes on the day. At the end, guests who were staying there for the night of the wedding, have mentioned to us that they will be making it a regular stop over when they're next in that part of the world. | | Happily Married - 23/09/2008 |
