| Great Venue |  | | I provided a disco at Shottle Hall at the weekend and I thought it was a great venue, the staff were great and we were able to put great lighting around the room without a problem... all in all a great place to hold a wedding reception. The Hotel is not too big to be impersonal and the staff, who are mostly young, are very warm and welcoming. The feeling of family warmth, is what makes me feel at home in this lovely setting. The grounds are wonderful, if the weather is good and the library comforatble and snuggly, if the weather is bad. If you want overbearing service, and city type hype, this place is not for you. If you want to relax and and enjoy yourself, as in a home from home, then its excactly what you want.
