| Lovely venue but poor service!! |   | | I had this venue booked for my wedding but decided to change to another Hotel as the treatment I was getting at this hotel was diabolical. The phones were rarely answered and my emails sometimes ignored (I know this as I got read tags). I heard through a forum about how this hotel had double booked a ladies wedding reception so I emailed the manager asking them to clarify everything was okay for me and they never had the decency to reply and put my mind at ease. On visiting the Hotel some staff seemed scatty and unprofessional too, rooms were lovely and the food at the carvery was nice but felt let down, earlier on perhaps but wasn't willing to take chances. Following on from our decision to move hotel venues and seeing how we should be being treated when we are willing to pay thousands I decided to write to the owner of the hotel explaining our unhappiness and disappointments and cancelling our date and finally asking for our deposit back as we are giving them a years notice and have heard absolutely nothing yet. Would not want my worst enemy to stay here and line their pockets. I don't rate the staff & owners of this hotel.
